Dellview celebrates a night under the stars

More than 150 students and parents participated in Dellview Elementary School's annual Star Gazing Night / Pajama Party on January 26, 2010. Dellview joined forces with the San Antonio Astronomical Association to give Dellview families the opportunity to gaze into space and explore the sky.

The San Antonio Astronomical Association started the evening by letting families look through a variety of different telescopes to specifically look at the moon and other star constellations. One of the parents, Ms. Perez, stated “This was amazing; I have never seen the moon through a telescope.”

The families had the opportunity to view a captivating presentation on different constellations, stars, planets, and the sun to conclude the evening. In addition, students and parents relaxed in their colorful pajamas. They enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate as they participated in a Dellview style Pajama Party!
