NEISD students earn top marks at District Policy Debate Meet

NEISD students participate in the UIL District 26 5A Policy Debate Meet, which took place at Smithson Valley High School.  Teams from schools within the UIL district competed to advance to the State Competition, which will be held at the University of Texas Austin campus on Mar. 19 and 20. 

Team Results:

• 1st place (Advancing to State)
  • Churchill HS - Kelly Cunningham and Morio Villaplana
• 2nd place (Advancing to State)
  • Churchill HS - Max and Birnhaum and Adam Lipton
• 3rd place (First Alternate)
  • MacArthur HS - Eduardo Zerbe and Estefania Lamas
• 4th place (Second Alternate)
  • MacArthur HS - Erwin Reschke and Brittany Trub
