CLASSIFIED:

Applications for Assistants, Custodians, Food Service Assistants, Bus Drivers and Bus Assistants are accepted year round. All other Classified positions - applications are accepted when the position is posted.

To satisfy the requirements for the No Child Left Behind Act, the Pre-Employment requirements for Instructional Assistants at NEISD Title 1 schools are:
  • 48 College Credit Hours or
  • Associates Degree or Higher or
  • Take a rigorous test that equates to 2 years of college (the rigorous test adopted by NEISD is: ETS ParaPro Test. )
  • NEISD Title 1 schools:

      • Elementary - Camelot, Clear Spring, Colonial Hills, Dellview, East Terrell Hills, El Dorado, Harmony Hills, Jackson-Keller, Larkspur, Montgomery, Oak Grove, Olmos, Regency Place, Ridgeview, Serna, Walzem, West Avenue, Wilshire, Windcrest
      Middle Schools - Garner, Krueger, Nimitz, White

 

Auxiliary (Custodian, Maintenance, Food Service, Transportation, etc.)

SUBSTITUTES:

As of September 27, 2008 we are no longer accepting new applications for substitute teacher. If your application was submitted prior to September 27, 2008 your application will be processed and we will be in contact with you.

Applicants for Substitute Teacher are required to have a Bachelors Degree or higher. Substitute Nurses must have a current RN license and Substitute Assistants are required to have a high school diploma or college hours.

Substitute Teachers/Substitute Nurses please complete the substitute teacher application. Substitute Nurses must contact the Health Services Department for further information (210) 804-7147.

Substitute Assistants please complete the Classified application and indicate Substitute Para as one of your job preferences. You will need to submit a letter of intent and resume for this position. Please refer to the job posting for further information.
