Redland Oaks community celebrates end of year with dance festival

The Redland Oaks Elementary community gathered together for their annual dance festival celebrating the end of the school year. The dance festival was directed by music teacher, Amy Girardeau, and physical education teacher, Pat Allen. All of the students participated and made up 12 performances to different types of music, including rock, country western and scores from recent popular movies. Colorful props were used for several of the dances, such as hula hoops, dyna bands, aerobic steps, scarves and ribbons.

"This event brought the community, parents, students, and faculty together in a positive setting exemplifying the PE and music curriculum," said Pat Allen, coach. "It will, no doubt, be a special memory of the 2008–2009 school year for the Redland Oaks community."
